Alarm 351: Serial Pulse Coder Communication is Abnormal
An error is generated in communication with serial pulse coder curcuit. Check the dignostic 203 bit #7, #6 #5 for either DTE (data error generated); CRC (serial communication error has generated), STB (stop bit error has generated). These illustrated the type of Fanuc Alarm 351.
There are multiple potential causes for the Fanuc serial pulse coder alarm 351.
- Signal cable is disconnected.
- Serial encoder is faulty.
- Axis board, Main CPU or OPT card is faulty.
The 350/351 alarms are common on Fanuc BETA servo unit and motor configurations. The motor encoders (SPC) do fail.
